LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said nearly 200 dogs were seized from a home on County Road 112 on Monday.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the home to follow up on reported animal neglect.
Deputies said 191 dogs were seized from the home “due to the current living conditions.”
The dogs were removed over the span of two days and are currently at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter as well as the Colbert County Animal Shelter.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
