Vehicle Rammed By Brother
Authorities report that a couple sustained several hundred dollars worth of damage to their vehicle late last week when the woman’s brother rammed the rear of their automobile.
The couple, ages 32 and 27, reported the hit-and-run incident Friday morning to Lawrenceburg Police Officers. They indicated they had been traveling southbound along North Military Avenue around 9:19 a.m. They report that the wife’s brother pulled from Debus Street onto Military and began to follow them. As they approached the Brink Street intersection, they report that the brother accelerated in his black Chevrolet Silverado, then rammed the rear of their 1993 Ford Escort. He then reportedly fled the scene, heading west on Groh Street..
The impact, the couple reported, nearly caused the husband to lose control of the vehicle in a time of heavy traffic. The bumper of their car was damaged and the trunk was jammed shut. Damages were estimated to total $750.00
The matter remains under investigation at the present time through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
