Driver: Vehicle Damaged By Thrown Object
A motorist reported to authorities late last week that his truck had sustained damage from an object that had been thrown from another automobile.
The victim reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies that he had been driving along Ethridge Redhill Road around 6:45 p.m. Friday when his truck was struck by an object.
He said that he stopped and found a broken VHS tape lying in the roadway, then began to pursue the other vehicle, following it into Lawrenceburg.
According to the victim, he followed the car into the parking lot at Walmart, onto Springer Road, and to the parking lot at Tractor Supply. There the vehicle was stopped by a Lawrenceburg Police Officer.
Reports show that a teenage vehicle occupant admitted he had thrown the tape, striking the victim’s truck. The teen was issued a citation, charging him with vandalism. He will be required to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on April 11, 2011.
