Florida Teen Garners Life Sentence In Lawrenceburg Man’s Murder

A Florida teen received a life sentence during a sentencing hearing Thursday in connection with the July 1, 2010 murder of a Lawrenceburg man.

Jacksonville, Florida sheriff’s officials reported at that time that Timothy B. Siebold, 31, died at Shands Jacksonville Hospital after undergoing surgery to repair injuries that resulted from the shooting.

At the time of the murder authorities reported Siebold had stopped on Justina Terrace to ask a group of teens for directions into a nearby park. They said an argument erupted and that Bryan Anthony Romero, now 19, drew a handgun, shooting Siebold in the chest. Shortly afterward Romero was arrested on murder charges.

Romero stood trial in February and was convicted of one count of second degree murder.

During sentencing proceedings Thursday, Romero received a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
