Lawrenceburg Council Approves Nonprofit Appropriations
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council approved the payment of appropriations to a list of nonprofit organizations during their bi-monthly business meeting Thursday morning.
The appropriations were approved during the 2009-2010 budgetary process and are included in the current fiscal year’s budget. Nonprofit appropriations, however, are not paid until after the deadline for the collection of city property taxes.
The list of nonprofit appropriations is as follows:
*A Kid’s Place $5,000.00
*The Shelter $2,500.00
*Tennessee Rehabilitation Center
at Columbia (Centerstone) $500.00
*God’s Storehouse $10,000.00
*Lawrence County Humane Society $5,000.00
