Lawrenceburg Council Announces Agenda

   Members of the governing board of the City of Lawrenceburg are scheduled to meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider quite a hefty agenda.

   The sole ordinance on the agenda is Ordinance #1049, calling for the amendment of the city’s zoning ordinance, to allow for a zoning change. The ordinance is slated for second and final reading.

   Numerous resolutions appear on the agenda. They are as follows:

   A resolution of the Board of Mayor and Council of the City of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to:

   *declare certain property in the Administration Department as surplus to be sold on govdeals.com.

   *waive building permit fees associated with Lawrence County Habitat Builds 2009 A.

   *enter into a contract…for grant agreement with the State of Tennessee Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.

   *appoint Gary Hyde to complete the term of Mike Weathers on the Regional Solid Waste Planning Board.

   *reappoint Dolly Leighton, Lorie Pettus, and Cheri Plant to the Crockett Theater Board.

   *reappoint Ron Evans and Jerry Jones to the City of Lawrenceburg Public Building Authority.

   *reappoint Anne Brown and Jeff Frazier to the Lawrenceburg Beer Board.

   *appoint Donna Cone to the Beautification Board.

   *reappoint Tim Dickey as Lawrenceburg’s representative on the Tennessee Southern Railroad Authority.

   *reappoint Anne Jones Hughes, Robert Parker and Bill Gobble to the Lawrenceburg Industrial Development Board.

   *reappoint John Beasley as Lawrenceburg’s representative on the Babe Ruth Board.

   The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009, inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
