We want to thank the Lawrenceburg Police Department for the donation of two surplus vehicles to Lawrence County Fire Rescue.

The Chevrolet one ton truck has been assigned to the Gandy Fire District. The unit is being repaired, and equipped with a brush/skid unit and other emergency equipment.

This unit was assigned to the Gandy district in order to fill a void where there is no brush truck in the district.

The Ford Police Interceptor has been assigned to the Leoma Fire District. This unit is has been equipped with emergency medical equipment, forceable entry tools, ect. The unit will be utilized in as a personnel carrier, a countywide training vehicle, and an emergency medical response vehicle. This all wheel drive vehicle will be instrumental for the district as they begin the Emergency Medical Response Program.

We are thankful to the Lawrenceburg Police Department and the local businesses, and citizens who have helped with the process of acquiring,repairing and equipping these vehicles. Thank you for assisting us in our mission of serving our communities.
