A man with a warrant was arrested during traffic stop in Lawrence County.

 

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle around 10:00 AM where the driver, Jonathan Gray, had an active parole warrant.

Gray was identified at the scene, and a records check confirmed that there was a warrant and he was taken into custody without incident after being asked to exit the vehicle.

During a search of his person, deputies located a loaded firearm concealed in his back pocket.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a quantity of cocaine, along with digital scales, plastic baggies, and other items consistent with the packaging and distribution of narcotics.

Gray is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
