Alabama Firefighters help elderly woman prepare a grave for beloved pet.

Rogersville Alabama Volunteer Fire Department shared the following heartwarming story on Wednesday:
"At 8:15 AM this morning, an elderly lady came to our station asking for help with her pet that had passed away last night. She stated that she had called several agencies requesting help, but with no luck, so she knew her local volunteers would help.
The lady's pet was 16 years old and was the light of her life, judging from the stories she shared with us. Rogersville Firefighters responded to her home, where Firefighter Steve Darracott and Assistant Fire Chief Morris Lentz assisted in preparing a grave for the pet. Flowers were also brought for the pet's grave.
The lady was very appreciative and asked us to post this to our Facebook page to express her appreciation for our efforts. Your local Rogersville Firefighters respond to all types of calls 24/7. We appreciate and value the trust and confidence our citizens have in us to turn to in times of need.
We all realize that our furry friends are family too.
Rogersville VFD"
