Multiple animals killed in Maury County barn fire

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews spent hours fighting a barn fire that broke out in Maury County Sunday morning, leading to the deaths of several animals.

According to the Maury County Fire Department, units were notified just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 16 about a fire along Crawley Hill Road involving a barn with animals still inside.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they said the barn was fully involved with flames and had already collapsed. Firefighters reportedly spent about three hours working to fully extinguish the barn and the hay bales that got caught up in the blaze.

According to officials, several goats were killed in the blaze.
