Update- Reports that all three crew members of the Aircare Medical Team based out of Columbus died when the helicopter
went down.

Confirmation that a Medical Helicopter has crashed in the area of the Natchez Trace/ Hwy 43, possibly leaving Jackson. No word on the crew or passengers at this point. More information will follow as soon as it becomes available.

Update- Fatalities are confirmed at the crash site.

Reports are coming that the helicopter went down shortly after take off and had reached an altitude of 1400 FT. FD and emergency officials are on the scene; the roadway is currently blocked near the site. the
