Lawrenceburg Man Arrested On Statutory Rape Charges
Lawrenceburg Police Chief Judy Moore announced Thursday that a Lawrenceburg man has been arrested in connection with a statutory rape investigation.
According to Moore the investigation has been on-going by detectives with the department’s Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Division.
The investigation was launched when allegations came to light, indicating that the suspect, twenty-four-year-old Curtis Lee Lovell, had been involved in an “inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor.”
Lovell has been jailed at the Lawrence County Detention Center under three counts of statutory rape and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held in lieu of a $155,000 bond.
Lovell is slated to answer the charges in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on April 7, 2011.
