Lawrence County Fire & Rescue Tennessee

Students of the 2019 Basic Firefighting Class met tonight for the final night of their class.

As part of their final exam, these firefighters took on “ The Playground” which is an obstacle course that requires the firefighters to navigate numerous obstacles while they are breathing from their SCBA with their mask blacked out.

During the scenario, the firefighters are required to “buddy breath” in a RIT scenario.

We are very thankful for these firefighters, and all of the instructors who have helped with the class.

It’s exciting to know that these trained firefighters are better equipped to serve our communities because of this training.
