Maury County Firefighters were dispatched to a wood stove fire over the weekend.

 

Maury County Fire Department released the following information and photos on Sunday:

"WOOD STOVE FIRE

MCFD responded last night at 8:23PM to a reported structure fire on Wiley Hollow Rd. Responding units: Engines 21, 23, 26, 30, Tankers 21, 23, Rehab 21, District 24, Support 20, Deputy 20, Chief 20.

Units arrived to find family members on scene who had mostly extinguished the fire with garden hoses. Units performed extensive overhaul of the walls and roof framing that was still burning.

Luckily, no injuries were reported; however, this was extremely close to being a much worse situation, partially due to no working smoke detectors.
