A traffic stop results in drug charges after a Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy pulled a motorist over in Lawrenceburg.

Lawrence County Sheriff's Office reported finishing the month of January up with a drug arrest on January 27th where a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on West Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg for expired registration and light law.

Once the Deputy approached the vehicle the odor of Marijuana was detected while speaking with the driver and a scale with a white residue was in visible sight.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a baggy containing residue from a crystal like substance, an envelope with $2,251 in cash, and a savage .243 Rifle.

The driver, Jake Osborne is facing multiple charges including possesion of schedule 11 for resale, unlawful drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.
