The Lawrenceburg police department conducted a welfare check at a local country store that resulted in the arrest of a wanted fugitive.

 

Police officers from the Lawrenceburg police department was dispatched on Saturday to a local country store on West Gaines Street in reference to a welfare check where authorities arrived to find a male subject slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.

Once contact was made with the subject he informed police that he had consumed Methamphetamine earlier in the day, and after police ran his information they discovered that Mr. Prince had a felony warrant out of Morgan County Alabama.

Prince was arrested, and transported to the Lawrence County jail where he awaits extradition.
