Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to the scene of an accident after a pedestrian was ran over by a motor vehicle.

 

 

Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Locust Avenue, and Prosser Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival officers spoke with the female driver who stated that she was traveling Northbound in the outside lane when she briefly looked down, and when she returned her eyes to the road she seen a male subject directly in front of her vehicle in the road.

The male victim was crossing the road to Hilltop Market when the female driver hit the man with the front of her vehicle causing him to go over the hood, and into the window shield where officers discovered the injured man unresponsive on the side of the roadway.

Emergency personnel immediately transported the male victim by lifeflight to Vanderbilt where at this time there have been no further details released regarding the victim's injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Crockett Hospital for minor injuries involving the shattered glass from the windshield where the driver also willfully submitted to a blood draw to determine if she was impaired when involved in the accident.
