Winter Storm Warning issued February 14th at 7:10AM CST until February 16th at 6:00AM CST by NWS Nashville TN.

 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning where the following areas will be affected:

Clay; Davidson; Jackson; De Kalb; Bedford; Williamson; Cheatham; Trousdale; Maury; Wayne; Robertson; Wilson; Hickman; Sumner; Marshall; Lawrence; Cannon; Smith; Lewis; Macon; Giles; Rutherford.

For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy mixed precipitation is expected with a total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice
accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch.

For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing drizzle and freezing fog with
slick roads for much of Middle Tennessee.

The Winter Storm Warning is from 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Tuesday, and the Winter Weather Advisory, until noon CST today.

Travel could be very difficult from tonight through
early Tuesday morning where precipitation will start as mainly freezing rain tonight with ice accumulation making travel hazardous.

On Monday, the precipitation will change over to all snow with most of the snow accumulation occuring in the late afternoon and evening hours of Monday.

The very cold air following the storm will
make travel conditions slow to improve through Tuesday where it is advised that anyone who
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
