Judicial Candidates Will Be Listed Under Republican Primary Only
Administrator of Elections Tanya White points out that the names of those wishing to vie for judicial offices during the May 6 County Primary will be listed exclusively under the Republican Primary.
Judicial offices included in the primary are Circuit Court Judges, Public Defender, and District Attorney General. Due to choices recently made by the local Democratic Party, however, the names of candidates will be listed only under the Republican Primary.
Although the office of Assessor of Property was previously listed among the offices appearing on the ballot, White said that post is not up for election.
The qualifying deadline for those interested in seeking office is noon on Thursday, February 20, 2014. The withdrawal deadline is at noon on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
