Damage To Field Is Under Investigation
A resident of the Five Points community reported to officials Monday that he is again having trouble with persons damaging his wheat field.
The victim, age 66, told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that he had discovered damage to the field at around 4:00 p.m. He said that someone had driven in circles in the field, causing considerable damage. Monetary damages were estimated to total $1,000.
The victim was able to obtain a license plate number. He told deputies that this has been a past problem therefore he had posted signs warning the public to stay out of the field.
