Spring Hill Firefighters responded to an accident involving a semi truck along with Maury County arriving with spill containment trailer.

 

According to the Spring Hill Fire Department crews were dispatched over the weekend to a wreck involving a semi truck on Beechcroft Road.

Ladder 61 arrived to find a semi on its side off the roadway in a creek where crews began quickly working to safely extract the driver along with Maury County OEM and Maury county fire responding with a spill containment trailer.

Before the truck could be cleared from the roadway the diesel fuel from the saddle tanks on the truck had to be off loaded where booms were strategically placed on parts of the creek to help contain the oil, and fluids from the truck.

At the time of the accident no serious injuries were reported.
