Tennessee Sheriff's Deputy totaled his patrol vehicle after he hit a cow on Wednesday morning.

According to the Dickson County Sheriff's Office
"Early this morning one of our patrol deputies hit a cow on Yellow Creek.

As you can see it totaled the patrol vehicle and sent the deputy to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

Large animals like cows and horses can be very dangerous to motorists if they get out of their fences. If you have animals such as these please make sure your fence lines are in tact!

We answer calls of horses and cows in the roadway weekly, and if this had been a smaller vehicle it would have been much worse. Prayers to our deputy for a speedy recovery!"
