Rutherford County Sheriff's Office along with Rutherford County Fire and Rescue experienced flooding following the severe storms causing road closures, and multiple rescues.

 

Following the severe storms that hit on Wednesday Rutherford County Sheriff's Office along with Rutherford County Fire, and Rescue as well as multiple emergency personnel responded to several rescue calls after flooding caused many road closures.

According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputies rescued several drivers who drove around barriers and stalled their vehicles where one report involved Deputy Nikolas Madore wading into almost waist-high water to rescue a driver on Sulphur Springs Road near West Buckeye Bottom Road.

During the rescues Rutherford County Sheriff’s Cpl. Kyle Frazier carried a woman from her car trapped in 3-feet of water on Christiana-Lowe Road where her 16-year-old son waded through the water, and EMS was called to check on the individuals involved.

Rutherford County Fire and Rescue throught the night responded to a home on S Windrow Drive that was flooded.

Units quickly worked to save 3 people, and a dog that were trapped inside their home where luckily no injuries were reported involving the incident.
