Workers Find Piece Of Equipment Is Stolen
Employees arrived at a worksite during the weekend only to find that a pricey piece of equipment had been stolen.
Employees of Pevahouse Contracting, Inc. in Waynesboro reported the crime to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday.
They said they had arrived at a worksite on Bluff Road, near some TVA power lines, and discovered someone had stolen a hydraulic wench from a Kershaw Sky Trim. They said the piece was valued at $7,000.
Investigation into the theft has been turned over to detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
