Officers from Florence Police responded to shooting complaints between Grady Liles Drive and Royal Avenue on Thursday, January 30th, 2025.
According to witnesses, the event included a red sedan that was occupied by three people. Soon after, patrol officers found the car and pulled it over near Chestnut Street and Irvine Street.
All of the passengers in the car were from Decatur, Alabama, and included 19-year-old Braylon Oliver and two minors. Florence was practicing basketball with Muscle Shoals when the event happened close to a gymnasium. When cops searched the car, they found drugs and firearms.
Oliver was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana second offense, possession of tobacco by a minor, and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited.
