The scammers are at it again.

We’ve just been made aware of another scam circulating in which callers are contacting innocent people and asking them to purchase food cards.

According to the report, these scammers are able to make it appear as though the call is coming from the county jail or the police department, often with no phone number attached.

Please remember: the Giles County Sheriff’s Office will never call and ask you to purchase food cards, gift cards, or make deposits into cryptocurrency machines for any official business.
