Alabama man was arrested after pursuit with Lawrence County Deputies.

 

 

Last week Lawrence County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a 911 open line call on Gillespie Lane.

Upon arrival deputies spoke with a female victim who had been assaulted, and the male suspect had fled the residence in a Blue vehicle.

Deputies quickly located the vehicle matching the description given by the victim where they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the male suspect accelerated speed heading towards Alabama.

Once the suspect turned onto Alabama 64 the vehicle stopped, and the man fled on foot into the woods.

Visual on the suspect was lost after crossing a creek in the woods, and pursuit was continued by Lauderdale County Deputies who located the suspect.

Deputies searched the vehicle where a shotgun and ammunition was located and seized.

The suspect is facing multiple charges including evading arrest.
