Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a Summertown woman who sadly passed away after falling on ice at local school.

According to reports from the victim's family, Mrs. Dorothy Glass, who is a teaching assistant at SES, arrived to school on Thursday morning where she slipped on some ice, and hit her head as a result of the fall.

Mrs. Glass was immediately airlifted to a Nashville hospital, but sadly passed away from her injuries.

The victim's son, Ricky Glass, who is a Summertown resident and the former pastor of Summertown Church of Christ, shared the following information, and photo of his mother:

"Tragedy has struck our family. This sweet, lovable, fiesty Mom, Nana and friend fell on some ice yesterday and seriously injured her head. She has now gone to be with dad (BopBop) to a city where the roses never fade. She absolutely loved her flowers, especially roses. Now she can enjoy them for all eternity. Please pray for us. We are heartbroken!"

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
