Lawrence County School System Educators Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award

January 20, 2026 –Lawrenceburg, TN– E.O. Coffman Middle School teacher Kelli Barnett, career and technical education teacher Stephanie Holt, and English language arts interventionist Dustin Robertson have been nominated for National Life Group’s 2025-26 LifeChanger of the Year award. National Life Group’s LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.
Barnett was nominated by a colleague, Ian Gulley, for ensuring that students have access to meaningful educational experiences and opportunities to reach their full potential. Her advocacy and tireless commitment have made a positive impact on students, families, and the broader school community.
Holt was nominated by her colleague, Candus Beard, for opening doors for students to explore a variety of career paths. Her dedication helps students gain new perspectives, as well as the knowledge and motivation to pursue their dreams. Holt’s work ensures that students leave her class inspired and empowered to shape their futures.
Robertson was nominated for his passion, dedication, and care in helping students grow and succeed. He inspires and motivates students through personal connection and support, including playing Pokémon to build rapport.
Overcoming challenges of his own, including living with dystonia, Robertson has turned adversity into strength. Despite initial concerns from a previous school, his students have embraced him, respecting his resilience and learning from his example. His unwavering commitment and enthusiasm have made him a fan-favorite teacher.
About LifeChanger of the Year
Since 2011, LifeChanger of the Year has recognized and rewarded more than 8,600 K-12 teachers, administrators, and school employees in 2,300+ school districts. The program has awarded over $850,000 in cash prizes to winners and their schools for making a significant difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.
