Husband Reports Being Struck In Mouth
A Lawrenceburg man summoned law enforcement officials to intervene early this week after his wife allegedly struck him in the mouth.
Lawrenceburg Police Officers met with the victim, age 28, inside Rotary Park around 1:30 Monday afternoon. He stated that he and his wife are separated, and that they had met at the park in order to “talk.”
The victim told officers they became involved in an argument and when he began to leave his wife struck him in the mouth.
Officers noted that the victim did sustain a small cut to the inside of his lip “that wouldn’t show up in a picture.” They did offer the victim advice on how to seek prosecution.
When they spoke with the wife later in the day, officers report she admitted she had argued with her husband, then struck him.
No charges were placed at that time. The matter remains under continued investigation.
