Property Owner Finds Remains Of Meth Lab
A property owner notified authorities he had discovered the apparent remains of a meth lab in the Summertown area last week, prompting an investigation.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the property, a wooded area at the end of Summertown’s Holloway Street, around 4:30 Thursday afternoon. The owner indicated he had located various items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Deputies report seizing a two liter bottle, lithium batteries, tubing, coffee filters, ammonia nitrate, and lithium strips from the location.
The matter remains under investigation currently through the department’s Crime Suppression and Criminal Investigation Divisions.
