Fatal Saturday wreck in Lawrenceburg results in vehicular homicide charges.

 

According to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol a fatal wreck occurred on Saturday morning in Lawrenceburg when two vehicles were traveling on Pulaski Highway near Comer Drive, and they collided after one of the vehicles crossed over into oncoming traffic.

THP has stated that a Kia Soul, driven by 28 year old Uziel Guatzozon, was traveling eastbound on Pulaski Highway when it crossed into the westbound lane and struck an old Chevy truck, driven by 58-year-old Jefferson Whitfield.

Whitfield died as a result of the collision, and Guatzozon only suffered minor injuries where he was transported to a nearby medical facility.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol in Lawrenceburg issued the following information regarding the wreck where they stated that Guatzozon is being charged with vehicular homicide and driving without a license, among other charges.
