Lawrence County Fire and rescue released the following announcement.

Attention teachers and parents:

We want to teach your children about fire safety! According to data from the state of Tennessee fire marshal office we see a 70% increase in fire related fatalities during the winter months versus other months of the year.

Unfortunately we have experienced by fire related fatalities right here in Lawrence County as recent as the past few years. We love our children and we would like the opportunity to educate them on fire safety.

Help us prevent fire fatalities through education! If you would like to give us the opportunity to schedule a fire safety class with your students please feel free to contact us through private message on this page. Request for class scheduling can also be sent via email to director@lawcofire.org.
