Ethridge Toddler Burns Himself With Coffee

   An Ethridge area toddler was transported to the Burn Unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville Tuesday morning after he reportedly pulled a hot cup of coffee onto himself.

   Officials indicate the one-year-old son of Ethridge Firefighter Todd Stewart and wife Julie, was the victim of the accident that occurred early Tuesday. The toddler was transported for evaluation to Crockett Hospital, then transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt, “primarily for pain management.”

   Officials indicate the young boy, Kasen, spilled the coffee on his groin/leg areas, causing third degree burns over approximately six percent of his body.
