MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) — An animal was apprehended after damaging a musical instrument store in Morristown Sunday, authorities said.
Around 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, the Morristown Police Department said it received a call that a Cinnamon Capuchin Monkey had entered the Trade Center on S. Cumberland Street.
According to officials, the monkey damaged the business and some instruments.
Law enforcement reported Sunday afternoon that Animal Control was unable to capture the monkey. However, later that night, authorities confirmed the creature had been caught.“We are aware of the allegation that the animal was stolen, and we will be continuing the investigation,” police said.
