2 adults, 2 children found dead in Waverly home during welfare check

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are conducting a death investigation after four people, including two children, were found dead inside a Waverly home on Friday, according to Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis.

The Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office said deputies made the discovery after conducting a welfare check at a residence along East Little Richland Road.

Law enforcement will reportedly be at the scene for an “undetermined amount of time.” The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the incident, officials said.

“We do not have any active threats to our area related to this case,” the HCSO stated in a release about the incident.

No additional details were immediately released.
