Thieves Make Off With Vehicle Batteries
Authorities were called upon to conduct an investigation Monday after a resident discovered that batteries had been stolen from a number of her vehicles.
The victim reported to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had discovered that someone had broken into her garage. Reports show that the lock had been cut from one door, and a small hole had been cut through the metal on the side of the building itself.
The victim determined that a 50” projection TV was missing from inside the structure as well as batteries from a lawnmower, tractors, car, and other vehicles around the building.
Investigation into the crime is on-going at the current time. Loss was estimated to be in excess of $1,100.
