Woman Helping Resident Pay Bills Refuses To Return Remaining Money
A Lawrenceburg man filed a complaint with authorities Wednesday after a woman who had been helping him pay his bills refused to return his remaining money.
The fifty-four year old victim stopped by the Lawrenceburg Police Department to report the crime shortly after 5:00 p.m. He told officers that while at his bank that day he had cashed his government issued check. He said that he gave the woman $943 to use in helping him pay his bills.
Once all the bills had been paid, the victim said he was left with $600. He said when he asked for his money back the woman refused to return it.
The victim said that he does wish to seek prosecution against the woman. The matter currently remains under investigation.
