Senior Citizen Brain Games Championship
Lawrence County's winning team from the Senior
Citizen Brain Games Championship that took place on Friday at David Lipscomb in Nashville.
The Lawrence Co. Team won $1,000 for the Senior Center here in Lawrenceburg. The team from West TN (Selmer) finished 3rd, The team from East TN (Morristown) finished 2nd, and Lawrence County slipped by and won the Championship by 13 points.
This was a trivia knowledge event including history, geography, literature, sports, math, TV, and much more. To get there Lawrence County had to win three different matches at the District level and beat Marshall County in the District finals, they then defeated Fentress Co. and Hendersonville in the Region finals.
This was the first year for the Senior Citizen Brain Games Event which took place over a two month period of time.
