Fuel Stolen From Landfill
Fuel that had been kept at the Lawrence County Landfill was targeted by thieves late last week.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that approximately 200 gallons of off road diesel belonging to Purcell’s Waste Transport, had been stolen from a tank at the landfill in which it was stored.
Authorities report that the offenders removed a nozzle that had a lock on it, in order to gain access to the fuel. Damages to the nozzle were estimated to be $40. The fuel had an estimated value of $800.
