Ethridge Residence Targeted By Burglars
A resident of Ethridge reported to authorities Monday that her home had been targeted by burglars.
The victim, a seventy-nine year old resident of Goodhope Road, reported that she had discovered the crime at around 6:00 p.m. She told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had found that a lamp had been knocked over and a drawer opened.
The victim reported that nothing appeared to be missing from the home. She speculated that her dogs had scared away the intruder.
Deputies noted that the frame of a storm window on the northeast side of the home had been broken during the commission of the crime. Damages were estimated to total $135.
The matter currently remains under investigation by detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
