Friday Crime Report
Vandalism
A resident of Second Street reported to police officers that someone had busted the window out of his 1997 Chrysler Sebring. He told officers that the car had been parked at an auto repair shop at the time. Officers noted the window appeared to have been busted using a blunt object. Damage totals approximately $400.
Theft
Deputies were called to a Sanders Lane home Wednesday after a real estate agent discovered a theft. The agent told deputies that two window air conditioners had been removed from the vacant house. Deputies noted that it appeared the units had been pulled out from the outside. There were no signs of illegal entry. Loss is around $220.
Public Intoxication
Officers responded to the High Avenue/Perry Street area on Wednesday after receiving reports of a pedestrian who appeared to be highly intoxicated. They were told that the man was staggering about the roadway and had fallen a number of times. When they found the man around 10:00 a.m. he told them he had left general sessions court at 9:30. Brandon Seth Marks, 32, was taken into custody. During the booking process deputies learned that he had actually been in court the day before.
