Resident Watches Prowler Cut Screen, Bust Window

An investigation was launched Friday after a Lawrenceburg man reported seeing a prowler cut a window screen and break a window at his Frisbie Avenue home.

The victim, age 52, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that the crime occurred around 2:00 a.m. that morning.

He told officers that he had seen the individual’s shadow outside his window as he cut the screen on a window at the front of his home. The prowler broke the glass on a rear window, as well.

The victim told officers that he does not have a telephone, so he waited until later in the morning to place a call from a neighbor’s home.

Damages were estimated to total $250. Investigation into the crime is currently on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
