Monday Crime Report
Theft of dog
A resident reported to deputies Friday that his Walker hound was missing from his Raven Bluff home. He said that the dog disappeared on September 4 after a suspicious vehicle stopped near the end of his driveway. The dog was valued at $500.
Burglary
Deputies were called to Dasco in Ethridge Friday morning after a possible break-in was discovered there. Reports show that someone had apparently pried the front door in an attempt to gain access, but that the door remained locked.
Theft
A Frisbie Avenue resident reported to police officers Friday that someone had stolen a white plastic bench from his front porch. He told officers that he would be able to identify it, should they locate it. He said it had a value of $50.
Theft
A Summertown woman reported to deputies Friday that a relative had stolen numerous jewelry items, then pawned them for cash. She said that when confronted, the relative had admitted committing the crime. Her loss was calculated at nearly $3,000.
Burglary
Burglars targeted a shed at a Fleming Road, Loretto home in past days, making off with nearly $6,000 worth of items. The victim reported to deputies that chains had been cut to open gates on the property. A door on one house situated on the property was damaged, as well. Logging chains, a Yanmar tractor, plow, grader blade, farm disk, assorted Craftsman hand tools, wagon wheels, a drill and metal John Deere toys were stolen. Copper tubing was removed from the exterior of one house.
Theft
A resident of Pulaski reported to police officers that the license plate was stolen from her 2003 GMC Envoy while she attended a performance at the old Crockett Theater Saturday night. Loss is approximately $60.
