A Tennessee woman was shot multiple times while running away from a robbery near a public library.

 

According to Metro Nashville police department the incident occurred around 12:00 a.m. Monday morning where a large group of people were near the Pruit Branch Public Library when gunshots went off.

A woman was spotted running away from the gunshots when she was hit by multiple bullets while trying to get away.

The woman's identity has not been released, but police stated she was transported to a nearby hospital where she is expected to recover.

Officers stated this is an ongoing investigation and at this time no further details are being released yet.
