A Lawrence County woman was the victim of a hit and run at the local Walmart.

 

The Lawrenceburg police department was dispatched to the Walmart on North Locust Avenue with reference to a hit and run.

The responding officer spoke with the female victim who stated that she had been inside the store shopping when she returned to her vehicle to find that someone had hit her vehicle, and left the scene.

The officer reported that the victim's driver side did receive damage from being hit as well as having maroon color paint transfer to area that was hit.

The hit and run culprit also left behind a part of their maroon colored side mirror that must of came off when they hit the victim's vehicle.

After gathering all the evidence as well as speaking with a witness at the scene the maroon color vehicle that committed the hit and run was located.
