Lawrence Resident Driving Giles School Bus Charged With Sexual Battery
A Lawrenceburg man who had served as a bus driver for the Giles County School System has been arrested on sexual battery charges.
Giles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that John Pate Cash, age 59, was arrested on Thursday one count of sexual battery by an authority figure.
A statement released by the school system Friday indicated that the allegations came to light on Thursday. The incident was reported by a high school administrator. They indicated that Cash was suspended, but later tendered his resignation.
Cash was incarcerated at the Giles County Detention Center, then later released under a bond of $30,000. Arraignment has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 26.
