Lawrenceburg Council Has Light Agenda For Thursday

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council are scheduled to meet in regular session Thursday and, to date, are facing only a light agenda.

Prior to the beginning of the meeting, members of the council will host a ceremony honoring our local 7 & 8 year old Little League State Champions and 11 year old Babe Ruth Champions. In addition, city employee David Sutton will be presented a retirement award.

The sole ordinance appearing on the agenda, ordinance #1083, calls for an amendment to the city’s 2010-2011 fiscal year budget. The ordinance is scheduled for second and final reading.

Two resolutions appear on Thursday’s agenda. The first calls for the reappointment of Greg Johnston to the City of Lawrenceburg’s Beer Board.

The second resolution would authorize the city to enter into a maintenance agreement with the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for traffic signals at West Point and Granddaddy Roads at the “proposed West Point Road connector.”

The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m. inside the commission meeting room at the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
