Lawrenceburg Man Perishes In Alabama Crash

   A Lawrenceburg man perished Friday evening after becoming involved in a single vehicle crash in Florence, Alabama.

   According to officials with the Alabama Highway Patrol, Michael Blake Perkins, 27, died as the result of injuries he sustained in the crash.

   Perkins was reportedly traveling west along Cox Creek Parkway when he lost control. his motorcycle. The motorcycle is said to have crossed the divided highway then crashed into a bridge. Perkins was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle, coming to rest at the base of the bridge.

   The crash occurred around 9:50 p.m., approximately two miles east of Highway 20.
