Suspects Flush Part Of Evidence Prior To Arrest

While executing a search warrant at a North Military Avenue residence Tuesday, drug agents report that those inside flushed part of the evidence before they were apprehended.

The incident was the result of a joint operation conducted through the Lawrenceburg Police Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Crime Suppression Unit. While executing a search warrant at 301 North Military Avenue, agents report they encountered a male and female in the entryway. The pair was detained while agents moved inside. There, they located three more male subjects. They, too, were detained.

While searching the area where the trio was located, agents report finding a bag of crystal meth beneath a couch. Agents report there were shads of glass inside bottom of the toilet indicative that contraband had been flushed.

An unlabeled bottle of pills was found inside one vehicle. The bottle contained a total of 47 unidentified pills. The bottle was concealed inside a hidden compartment inside the 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche.

The male and female first encountered were released without charges. The other three males were placed under arrest. Darrell Yarbrough was charged with the crimes of possession of Legend drugs without a prescription and possession of Schedule II narcotics (meth). Jarrod Bradbary was arrested under charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule II narcotics (meth). James Thrasher was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued through Lawrence County.
